Good news for owners consultants contractors and users of corroding concrete structures
The Camur ZEBRA (CZ) system for long-term cathodic protection of reinforced concrete is now available. This combination system can be applied in a range of environments to various corrosion-prone structures and has over several year proven its endurability and economy. ZEBRA is recommended for use on:
- Topside of deck slabs in multi-storey car parks
- Soffit side of deck slabs in multi-storey car parks
- Columns and beams
- Facades and balconies
- Industry concrete, topside, vertical and soffits
- Bridges
- Walkways
- Chimneys
- Tunnels
- Jetties (“dry” parts only, “wet” parts should use the CASSETTE system)
The easy installation of the Camur II digital surveillance system combined with the corrosion stopping ability of the ZEBRA coating provides maximum protection against corrosion. And the fast application time of the ZEBRA system (15-20 min/m2 , all layers) ensures that projects progress quickly and economically.
For example to fully protect 1000m2 deck slabs in a car park using the CZ system:
- 500kg ZEBRA conductive, mineralic anode-paint
- 150 kg AHEAD Multiprimer
- 700 rm current distributing ribbons
- 700 rm PDR double-sided tape
- 200 PDR clips
- 100 kg AHEAD Binder E/N, A+ B comp
- 25 kg BlockCoat Putty
- 2000 kg AHEAD Levelling Layer, grey
- 8000 kg AHEAD Ax/ECH wearing course
- 3000 kg Mandurax, hard sand

- 500 kg AHEAD Coating W
Trained personnell, plus the materials above will install a working CZ system combined in the wear-resistant ECH protected finish, ensuring stop of rebar corrosion, leakages and a long-term usability of the surfaces. Installing the Camur ZEBRA system on other structures, e.g. soffits, columns, bridges etc is just as quick and easy, and equally effective, but it will require different protective materials. All materials in the CZ package have been tested and used for over 20 years.
Two animations shows application of Zebra with wearing course and with paint. For further details and information see our brochures (left menu).
