Car park corrosion protected with Camur-Zebra CP system

The Camur ZEBRA (CZ) Cathodic Protection system for reinforced concrete was developed by Protector in the late ‘90s. It has gone on to become a leading protection system and has been applied to many tens of thousands of square metres of corroding concrete, especially that found in car parks.

The patented ZEBRA two-component, mineralic, roller-applied, liquid anode-system, represents a unique development. It enables owners of multi-storey car parks (MSCP), bridges, facades, tunnels and other corrosion-exposed structures to stop ongoing corrosion at affordable prices.

For car parks the mineralic anode is integrated into the 7mm thick wearing coarse applied on top of the floorslab. This specially developed hardwearing wearing coarse prevents both the rebar corrosion as well as leakages and wear. Various different anode-protection materials have been developed for other types of structures and environments, for example to protect bridges, tunnels, facades etc.

To date, more than 50 Multistorey Carparks ( MSCP ) have installed the ZEBRA anode system in conjunction with the Camur remote surveillance equipment. This monitoring system ensures that the correct level of corrosion-stopping current is delivered through the concrete; in turn creating the correct feedback from protected rebars to be remotely returned to the operator. The CZ system is a well proven and highly durable corrosion abatement system, based upon extensive experience and research. We are confident it will provide an effective solution for your reinforced concrete structures!
